Games… Dialogue… and Revealing Important Gap
During the Kafala Bus event, we engaged students through interactive games and listened to them closely.
We heard clearly and honestly their beliefs, fears, and perceptions about Kafala.
The goal was not to simply deliver information.
It was to understand the space between where awareness currently stands and where it needs to be.
By listening directly to students, a clearer picture emerged:
Where misunderstandings exist,
Where readiness is present,
And which areas require deeper focus moving forward.
This is what made this step different, it was shaped by real insights, not assumptions.
A Dialogue Session… Where Every Necessary Voice Was Heard
The day concluded with a powerful dialogue session that brought together all sides of the Kafala ecosystem:
Doaa Farouk: Media personality
Rasha Mekky: Founder of Yalla Kafala
Mostafa: Rasha’s son under Kafala
Mohamed: a biological father and a Kafala father
Dr. Hassan Khalil: representing the religious perspective
Faten: a care home graduate and a person under Kafala at an older age
Engy Mansour: Founder of Lebaladna
The scene itself carried a message: This is Kafala: real people, real experiences, and real stories.
The discussion highlighted:
- The role of institutions
- Collaboration between different entities
- Correcting religious misconceptions
- Sharing real-life experiences
- And the challenges faced by Kafala families
Real awareness is not built on hearsay, but on lived experiences, told by the people behind the stories.
